Project Description:

Your school’s Culinary Club is raising money for the local food pantry. You volunteer to create a slide show that will be shown at a fundraiser put on by the club. In this activity, you will create a presentation that meets slide show design principles, and has shapes, animation, and video.

Start PowerPoint. Download and   open the file named Exp22_PPT_Ch02_CumulativeAssessment_Food_Pantry.pptx.   Grader has automatically added your last name to the beginning of the   filename.

Change the theme fonts to   TrebuchetMS.

Navigate to Slide 1. Set the   Horizontal position to 2.1″ and the Vertical position to 2.1″ for the subtitle placeholder.

Navigate to Slide 4. Shorten the   text for each bullet point to only the bold text (delete all punctuation).

On Slide 2, drag a text box on   the left side of the slide approximately 4″ wide and 1″ tall under   the text box with the text Location.   Type 123   Main Street   press ENTER and type Frisco, TX 75036. Change the font size to 20. Set the Horizontal   position to 0.6″ and the Vertical position to 2.4″ for the text   box. 

On Slide 2, insert an oval shape   on the right side of the slide. Set the height and width of the shape to   5.3″. Set the Horizontal position to 7″ and the Vertical position   to 0.85″. Insert donation.jpg as a picture fill in the shape. Apply a 6 pt. Dark   Green, Accent 6 Fill Outline to the shape.

On Slide 3, insert a Rectangle   shape above the text box with the text 14.25   pounds. Type Patrons in the rectangle shape. Set the shape height to 0.6″ and the   shape width to 3.33″. Set the Horizontal position to 0.83″ and the vertical position to   4.4″. Change the font size to 28. Apply the Intense Effect – Gold,   Accent 2 shape style to the shape.

On Slide 3, duplicate the   rectangle shape with the text Patrons.   Type Vendors   in the shape.   Change the shape style to Intense Effect – Orange, Accent 3. Set the   Horizontal position to 5″ and the vertical position to 4.4″.

On Slide 3, duplicate the   rectangle shape with the text Patrons again.   Type Total   in the shape.   Change the shape style to Intense Effect – Dark Green, Accent 6. Set the   Horizontal position to 9.17″ and the vertical position to 4.4″.

On Slide 7, click or press Icons   in the Illustrations group on the Insert tab. Type email in the search box and insert the   email icon in the first row, first column. Make the following changes to the   email icon: Set the height to 0.84″. Set the Horizontal position to 2.9″ and the   Vertical position to 4.4″.

Apply the Zoom entrance   animation to the bulleted list on Slide 4. Set the Start to After Previous.   Set the Duration to 0.75 and the Delay to 0.75. Set the Effect Option to   Slide Center.
 

  Mac users: Open the Animation pane, select the animation, and select Timings.

Apply the Zoom entrance   animation to the Patrons text box   on Slide 3. Set the animation to start After Previous with a Delay of 0.75.
 

  Use the Animation Painter to apply the same animation and animation settings   to the following Shapes and text boxes in this order:
  Text box under Patrons with text 14.25 pounds
 

  Shape with text Vendors
  Text box under Vendors with text 135.50 pounds
 

  Shape with text Total
  Text box under Total with text 149.75 pounds

Apply the Split transition and   change the Effect Options to Vertical In. Apply to all slides.

Navigate to Slide 5. Insert the   video FoodPantry.mp4 using the   Insert Video icon in the content placeholder. Set the video to play automatically.

Apply the Reflected Bevel, Black   video style. Add a 6 pt Dark Green, Accent 6 video border.

View the presentation. Save and   close Exp22_PPT_Ch02_CumulativeAssessment_Food_Pantry.pptx.   Exit PowerPoint. Submit the file as directed.
