Sensitivity Analysis Repot: Chapters 16 to 18

Objective: To provide an overview of a Sensitivity analysis that is a “what if “Proposition, It answers questions about what may happen if major assumptions changes. Sensitivity analysis allows a reviewer to assess the impact that changes in a certain parameter will have on the model’s conclusions.

● Sensitivity analysis can help the reviewer to determine which parameters are the key drivers of a model’s results.

● By reporting extensive outputs from sensitivity analysis, modelers are able to consider a wide range of scenarios and, as such, can increase the level of confidence that a reviewer will have in the model.

ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES (10%):

Sensitivity Analysis Repot. For this assignment, you will create, describe, Organize, analyze and, present a Sensitivity Analysis Repot: provides a useful technique to quantify the level of confidence that a decision-maker has in the conclusions of an economic evaluation.

While economic models are a useful tool to aid decision-making in healthcare, there remain several types of uncertainty associated with this method of analysis.

● One-way sensitivity analysis allows a reviewer to assess the impact that changes in a certain parameter will have on the model’s conclusions.

● Sensitivity analysis can help the reviewer to determine which parameters are the key drivers of a model’s results.

The paper will be 4-5 pages long. . Each paper must be typewritten with 12-point font and double-spaced with standard margins. Follow APA format when referring to the selected articles and include a reference page.

EACH PAPER SHOULD INCLUDE THE   FOLLOWING:

1. Introduction (30%) Provide a short-lived outline of the meaning (not a description) of Chapter 17 and articles you read, in your own words.

2. Your Sensitivity Analysis Report (50%)

a. Objectives of the report

b. One-way sensitivity analysis: The simplest form of sensitivity analysis is to simply vary one value in the model by a given amount, and examine the impact that the change has on the model’s results.

c. Sensitivity analysis Tools.

d. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis

3. Conclusion (20%)

Quickly recapitulate your thoughts & statement to your critique of the articles and Chapter you read. How did these articles and Chapters impact your thoughts about Health care Sensitivity Analysis?

Evaluation will be based on how clearly you respond to the above, in particular:

a) The precision with which you analyses the articles;

b) The complexity, possibility, and organization of your paper; and,

c) Your conclusions, including a description of the impact of these articles and Chapters on any Health Care Setting.
