An important consideration of my dissertation journey after identifying my research topic, methodology, and design is to establish a dissertation committee consisting of one chair and two members who may possess research competence and experience in a quantitative research approach to provide support and guidance to enable me to accomplish my goals and anticipated outcomes. Although my initial research methodology was mixed methods, I have since decided (for a number of reasons) to collect only qualitative data for my project. When I’m working on my project, I hope to have a committee chair who is able to provide open dialogue, constructive feedback, and show a shared commitment to the success of my research

My committee picking process has been about finding a balance between business expertise, qualitative research skills, and our working chemistry.
